Custom software

Software your business can build on

We design and build web platforms, mobile apps, and backend systems, from first prototype to production and long after.

What we build

From first prototype to production.

Whatever the product, we build it the same way: small steps, working software, and nothing you can't maintain.

  • Web applications

SaaS platforms, customer portals, and internal tools with fast, accessible interfaces.

  • Mobile apps

Apps for iOS and Android that feel native and share logic with your web stack.

  • Backend and APIs

Reliable services, data models, and APIs that your other systems can depend on.

  • Cloud and DevOps

Infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and cost control from day one.

  • Legacy modernization

Move critical systems to a modern stack step by step, without a risky big-bang rewrite.

  • Integrations and data

Connect the tools you already use, such as payments, CRMs, and ERPs, and make the data usable.

Legacy modernization

Modernize without a rewrite.

A big-bang rewrite bets everything on one launch day. We replace a system the way it grew: one capability at a time, while it keeps running.

  1. Understand and protect

We map the system and add tests around the behavior that matters, so changes are safe.

  2. Carve out a seam

We route one capability through a new interface, so old and new can run side by side.

  3. Move one piece at a time

Each piece ships on its own, with the legacy path as the fallback.

  4. Retire what's replaced

Once a piece is proven, the old code is removed. Nobody has to cut over in a single night.

LegacyNewThe old system keeps running throughout.

Engineering standards

Every change goes through the same gate.

Quality is a habit, not a phase. These are in place from the first commit, on every project.

  • Every change is reviewed by a second engineer
  • Automated tests and type checks on every commit
  • Infrastructure as code, so environments are reproducible
  • Logs, metrics, and alerts from the first deploy
  • Secrets in a vault, never in the repository
  • Dependencies scanned and kept current
  • Accessible interfaces, built toward WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Documentation and a runbook, written as we go

Engagement

Choose how we work together.

Pick the model that matches how defined your project is. You can change it as the work evolves.

  • Fixed-scope project

A defined outcome, timeline, and price. We agree on scope up front and deliver it in milestones.

Best for MVPs, new features, and well-understood builds.

  • Dedicated team

Engineers who work as part of your team on a longer roadmap. Scale up or down as priorities change.

Best for growing products with a steady backlog.

  • Ongoing partnership

Maintenance, improvements, and on-call support after launch, billed monthly.

Best for live products that need to keep improving.

How we work

A clear path from idea to launch.

Every project follows the same five steps, with working software at the end of each one.

  1. 1

    Discover

We learn your goals, users, and constraints, then agree on what success looks like.

    You get

    • Written goals and success measures
    • A map of users, systems, and risks
  2. 2

    Design

Architecture, prototypes, and a scoped plan with milestones you can hold us to.

    You get

    • Architecture and a prototype
    • A scoped plan with milestones
  3. 3

    Build

Short cycles with weekly demos, shared repositories, and written decisions.

    You get

    • Working software every week
    • Your repository, with tests and CI
  4. 4

    Launch

Production deployment with monitoring, rollbacks, and a handover your team can follow.

    You get

    • A production deployment
    • Monitoring, alerts, and a rollback plan
  5. 5

    Operate

Ongoing support, measurement, and improvements as real usage teaches us more.

    You get

    • Quality and usage reporting
    • A prioritized list of improvements

FAQ

Questions we hear most.

How long does a typical project take?

It depends on scope. A focused MVP often takes weeks, while larger platforms run for several months. After an initial conversation we give you a scoped plan with milestones, so you know what to expect before you commit.

Who owns the code?

You do. We work in your repositories and cloud accounts wherever possible, and we hand over documentation along with the code.

Can you work with our existing team and codebase?

Yes. We can extend an existing system, join your team, or take over a project that has stalled. We start by reading the code and agreeing on a plan.

How do you price projects?

Fixed-scope projects get a fixed price. Longer engagements are billed monthly based on team size. We recommend the model that fits once we understand your goals.

What stack do you use?

Mostly TypeScript and Python, with PostgreSQL, React, and the major cloud platforms. We choose what fits your product and your team, and we're comfortable working in the stack you already have.

How do you keep quality high?

Every change is reviewed and passes automated checks before it merges. We write tests as we go, deploy through a pipeline, and monitor production from the first release.

Can you modernize a system without stopping it?

That's how we prefer to do it. We add tests around the behavior that matters, move one capability at a time behind a new interface, and keep the old path as a fallback until the new one is proven.

What happens after launch?

We can stay on for maintenance, monitoring, and new features, or hand everything to your team with documentation and a walkthrough.
